2. SHIMOGA ZOO AND SAFARI -
Shimoga town safari and zoo started in 1988, it is Karnataka's second safari park, after Bannerghatta National Park near Bangalore.
The camp houses several captive elephants. Sakrebailu is an eco-tourism center. The elephants in these camps are trained by skilled Mahouts. The camp is located on the banks of the River Tunga.
Shivappa Nayaka Palace Museum was built in the 18th century by Hyder Ali, it is a Durbar hall ( noble court ).

Mahatma Gandhi Park has been re-modified by the Government with an investment of about ten crore Indian rupees. Mahatma Gandhi Park is one of the numerous tourist spots and is the oldest park in Shimoga.
6. SACRED HEART CATHEDRAL CHURCH -
The second largest church in India, It is a Catholic church spread over an area of 18000 sq ft.
It's a short break and a great view across the dam. Because It's on the way to Sakrebyle Elephant Camp and Mandagadde Bird Sanctuary.
8. SHIVA TEMPLE SHIMOGA -
The Shiva Temple was built in the 11th century in the Shilahar kingdom, and it is also known as Kedareshwara Temple in Shimoga is an ancient stone temple dedicated to Lord Shiva.
9. BHIMESHWARA TEMPLE SHIMOGA -
Bheemeshwara temple is one of the oldest temples in Karnataka. Bheemeshwara temple also has waterfalls which are more beautiful during the rainy season.
10. SHARAVATHI RIVER -
Sharavati River is one of the few westward-flowing rivers of India and a major part of the river basin lies in the Western Ghats.
